INGREDIENTS:

Pillsbury Crescent Rolls - 4

4 oz Smoked salmon

½ - 1 oz Goat Cheese

8 - 10 Fresh chives* cut up into tiny pieces

*You could try dried chives - I haven’t used them for this specific recipe but could be an option if fresh are not available

KITCHEN ESSENTIALS FOR THIS RECIPE:

Baking sheet

Foil

Toaster Oven

Fork

Sharp Knife

Cutting Board

PRE-COOKING PREP DIRECTIONS:

  1. Open Pillsbury Crescent can - for some reason, this is always the hardest part for me

  2. Open the packet of smoked salmon

  3. Open the goat cheese and place ½ of it into a small bowl to help break it up with a fork, will make it easier to spread

  4. I place a piece of foil on my toaster oven baking pan so it’s a quick clean up

NOW FOR THE FUN PART - COOKING!

  1. Preheat toaster oven (or oven) to 175°

  2. Unroll the crescent rolls and lay out the 4 rolls onto your cutting board about an inch apart - they will almost look like pizza slices (see pic)

  3. Place slices of the smoked salmon onto the dough, I tried to cover the entire sheet so it took a few quick cuts of the smoked salmon slices but trust me it'll be worth it

  4. Add crumbles of the goat cheese onto the salmon, I would ensure that the widest part of the roll have a more substantial amount of cheese and then add as much as you like on the remainder

  5. Sprinkle on the chives over the entire section - including as much as you like, in my opinion chives do not have an overpowering taste especially when cooked so do not worry about over adding too much

  6. Once you have your ‘pizza slices’ ready, start to roll them fro the widest to the tip - some of the cheese, salmon, etc may fall out - it’s ok

  7. Transfer to your foil covered baking sheet

  8. Bake on 175° for 17 - 20 min, depending on your toaster oven - I set an alarm for 16min and check to see how they look

  9. You will know they are done when the dough has puffed up, and is a nice darker golden brown color (see pic)
